SALES POLICY
Nigerian Dwarf Goats:
Disclaimer: Key Hill Farm reserves the right to refuse a sale without explanation and refund any deposit at any time.

Animal Health
All goats are guaranteed to be in good health at the time of sale and pickup. Each goat will be vaccinated, tattooed and kids will be on a coccidiosis prevention program using Baycox. If adults need to be dewormed after running a fecal, we will do so. All horned goats will be disbudded and although we will do our best to disbud properly, we cannot guarantee no scurs - especially on bucks.

Once the goat(s) leave our farm, we can no longer guarantee their health due to stress, travel/shipping or the new owner's care of them
Pricing
Pricing is based on pedigree, age of animal, performance programs the animal has taken part in, milk records, milk stars and quality of the goat for sale. Prices are non-negotiable
Deposits
To get onto our waitlist for a buck or doe kid, we require a non-refundable $150 deposit that will be put toward the final cost of the kid. For adults, we require 50% of the total price for the deposit. No animal will be considered sold until a deposit is received
Picking up Your Goat
No animal will leave our farm without full payment. We ask for final payment 24 hours before we are scheduled to meet you. At this time, we do not allow farm pickups but are able to meet in Bentley, Sylvan Lake, Red Deer, Lacombe or Ponoka
You will have 10 days from date of sale to pick up your goat(s). After that 10 days, there will be a boarding fee of $5 per day per goat
Refunds
No refunds will be given on deposits or on a sale once the animal has left our farm. Exceptions may be made ONLY for serious health or genetic issues that may arise after leaving our farm and must be confirmed by a licensed veterinarian and is still not guaranteed. Everything will be reviewed on a case by case basis
Registration
We will send in for registration and/or transfers within 5 days of pickup and will cover all costs associated with the process through CLRC
Transportation
Please have transportation planned out before you place a deposit. We are able to take goats to either Calgary or Edmonton airport for a fee of $200 and fly them out via WestJet. The buyer will be responsible for the cost of the flight, the cost of an approved crate and for booking the flight after we have confirmed the time/date for us.
If you are planning on hiring a hauler, it will need to be someone approved by us prior to a finalized sale. Please let us know this at the time of inquiry of the available animal
Other Things to Note
We will not sell a single goat to someone who doesn't already have goats. They are herd animals and require a buddy (another goat) for their overall well being

The buyer is reponsible for having the proper set up, shelter, fencing for the goats we sell them. We will do our best to answer any and all questions a buyer has in regards to feed, minerals, overall health care, etc before and after the sale is completed. We are always available to help troubleshoot or to just chat about goats

Once the goat is sold and leaves our farm, we cannot be responsible for any injury, illness or death that occurs. We also unfortunately cannot take any goats back once they leave as we are on the Scrapie Program and a closed herd

We do not guarantee the height of any animals we sell, especially with the strong US influence in our herd.
