Health Testing

Herd + Flock

Sept 2021

Our herd and flock's health is of the utmost importance to us and we work extremely closely with our vet. We test every 6 months for Johne's and annually for CAE + CL on all our goats 12 months and up. We also test for Johne's and OPP on all our sheep 12 months and up on the same schedule. We will add CL testing to the sheep in 2022.

Any new animals added to our farm are quarantined for 30 days and tested before joining everyone (over 12 months of age). We only purchase animals from healthy, clean and tested herds or closed herds with testing records made available prior to closing.

(We are now closed as of September 2021)

Our results for our herd and flock can be made available by contacting us at

We are happy to report NEGATIVE test results for Johne's, CAE + CL on our Nigerian Dwarf Goats and Johne's + OPP on our Babydoll Sheep as of August 2021.

We have done our 6 month Johne's testing as of March 2022 and all results for our herd and flock are negative.

Our Cattle

As we add to our fold, all new cattle are quarantined for a minimum of 14 days so that we can watch for any issues. At that time, any over 12 months of age will all be tested for Johne's and then tested yearly after that point.

We will continue working with our vet to do any other testing we feel necessary for the upkeep and good health of our fold.

Any results can be made available by emailing us at:
