About Red
Red was offered to us in the spring of 2021 and it was a definite no brainer decision to bring her to Key Hill. Her dam, Red Pearl (a full sister to Potting Shed HC Asher at Mossy Rock Farm), freshened for the first time this year and we were blown away with what we saw. Red Pearl is a daughter of Potting Shed MM Ashley, a powerhouse milker (and full sister to Griffin), and Rosasharn MM Hermit Crab.
Her sire, Wisest of Wizards is an up and coming Herdsire at Potting Shed and a son of one of our favourite does, Potting Shed KAJ Magic.
Red freshened beautifully for her first freshening and we couldn't be more pleased! She easily has the softest texture we have felt to date, add that to the fact that she milks with ease and fills the bucket! This girl blew us away with her one day milk test at just 27 DIM earning 9.75 points with 4.63 lbs and 5.25% BF easily earning her milk star as a young doe!
