SALES POLICIES
Babydoll Sheep:
When any sheep from our flock is offered for sale via email, text, messenger, Instagram, etc, you will have 24 hours to decide whether or not to commit to buy from the time we hit the 'send' button. From that point if you choose to pass or we don't hear back from your within that 24 hours, we will move onto the next person on our list. If you decide to move forward, you will have a further 24 hours to pay a NON-REFUNDABLE 50% deposit via emt before the goat will be considered sold. If we do not receive the deposit within that timeframe, we will move onto the next person on our list. This is relevant for both lambs and mature sheep
* All lambs will be automatically registered with NABSSAR and can be registered with OEBMSSR and/or BSSBA for an additional cost. Please let us know at the time of placing a deposit if you would like add in a registry
* We reserve the right to retain any lamb born from any pairing no matter the waitlist
* We reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone for any reason
* We will only sell in pairs or to farms/acreages that already have Babydoll Sheep. They are extremely social animals and will not do well on their own
* A waitlist will be maintained for our Babydolls and as of September 1st, 2022, we will require a NON-REFUNDABLE $200 deposit per lamb to be put on our waitlist. Once lambs are born, customers will be contacted in order that they were placed on the list and given first right of refusal in that same order. The only way a deposit will be refunded is if we can't provide the GENDER of lamb requested
* Once lambs are born, a further deposit of 50% of the total purchase price (the $200 waitlist deposit will be put towards the 50%) will be due and arrangements for a meeting place or shipping will be agreed to at this time. If the deposit is not made within 24 hours of us contacting you about our available lambs, your spot will be forfeited and will go to the next person in line. Please make sure we have your proper contact information when you join our waitlist
* If a lamb becomes ill or passes away, you will be refunded your deposit or we will offer you another selection if available
* Full payment must be made prior to any lamb leaving our farm
* Lambs will be sold as registered (except Wethers), tagged, vaccinated + treated for coccidiosis prevention prior to leaving our care
* All lambs must be picked up no later than 10 days after being weaned. If you require more time, you will be charged a fee of $5 per day per sheep for temporary boarding until the lamb(s) leaves our farm
* All adults must be picked up within 10 days of sale agreements. There will be a $5/day charge after that 10 days is up unless otherwise agreed to
*Because of biosecurity, we do not allow farm pickup for any animals. We are able to meet in Bentley, Lacombe, Sylvan Lake or Red Deer
* The buyer is responsible for lining up shipping for transport of the lambs and the full cost of transport. We do not know any livestock haulers so we cannot make any recommendations.
* Once your lamb has left Key Hill Farm, we will be unable to take them back due to biosecurity reasons
* We will make sure all lambs that leave here are healthy and ready to go. Once they have left our farm, we cannot guarantee health due to the stress of travel/shipping and the new owner's care of them. If you would like a health check done by our veterinarian prior to them leaving, we are more that happy to do that at the buyer's cost
* Please keep in mind that all Babydoll Sheep Registries are in the US and it takes a bit to transfer sheep to new owners. Once the lamb has left our farm, we will put in the request for transfer, but we cannot guarantee how long it will take for you to receive the paperwork
* We will provide all relevant photos we have to the buyer once the lamb has left our farm. Please don't use any pictures from our website without permission. We would be happy to provide you with whatever you need if you ask
